FINE ART ADVISORY

Portrait of Rhonda Brown by Sonya Martin

I am both an artist and an art advisor—and I was born into this world. My training began at home, learning from the very best: my mother. She was relentless in her love for art, for placing works in homes, curating projects with vision, and building community around artists. From her, I inherited not just an eye, but a work ethic and an ethos—one that demands integrity, diligence, and clarity in every relationship.

The ethical practice of this field is non-negotiable for me. I seek out partners who share that same respect for artists and collectors alike. My strength lies in my deep, national network—connections that cross sectors and regions—allowing me to leverage opportunities that others simply can’t access. And because I have been immersed in the art world since birth, my eye is highly trained, intuitive, and confident.

For more than three decades, I’ve advised, curated, and helped shape extraordinary private collections. I’ve worked with new and seasoned collectors, museums, artists, and family trusts. My specialty is guiding clients to build collections that are not only meaningful, but transformative.

My approach is holistic: I don’t just source and place art, I educate, create immersive experiences, and walk clients through every step of the journey. That includes everything from gallery tours, fairs, and studio visits, to acquisition, installation, and access to specialized services like appraisals, restoration, framing, and storage. Just as importantly, I connect clients with artists at every level—emerging, established, contemporary, and master—so that their collections reflect both personal vision and cultural depth.

What makes me good at this work is simple: I live it. My legacy, my training, my network, and my practice are all woven together. Clients trust me not only for my eye, but for my discretion, my relationships, and my ability to unlock experiences and opportunities that make collecting art a true journey—not just a transaction
